Ok, I’m a Nutritionist, so it’s not hard to imagine that I’m not a fan of sugar.
However, this not only applies to food but also conversation. Those of you who are on my VIP email list know I’m all about authenticity and I just say it like it is.
It’s kinda just who I am. Period.
The real me doesn’t sugar coat anything. If you’re a client of mine you know that I’m full of love and motivation, coupled with a healthy dose of straight talk. I will hug and support you, but I am also not afraid to tell it like it is. Aka, calling you out on your shit!
So if you’re ready for it. Here is the truth about why your health and weight loss goals continue to elude you.
If you’re not enjoying your life.
Can’t stand your job.
Feel like you’re burning the candle at both ends.
NEVER have enough time for yourself…..
Well, then, you’re going to FEEL unhappy.
If you’re not happy, you’re not going to be motivated to put the time and effort into yourself that is necessary to feel good.
If that’s where you are, it’s unfortunate, but the reality is, eating well is going to be a pipe dream.
Sorry, but that’s the truth. You don’t put effort into things you don’t love and value. Am I right?
If you’re not a priority in your life, then you’re not valuing yourself enough. PERIOD. Don’t even think about a rebuttal that includes “But, I make sacrifices for my kids, husband, job, family.”
Not prioritizing yourself is exactly what is making you feel miserable.
If you are living your life for everyone else, your boss, your business, your kids, your husband, or even your freaking dog. You’re simply not filling up your own bucket and therefore it’s dry. BONE dry!
If this is your lifestyle and mindset, is it any wonder you’re exhausted and unmotivated? Heck, you may even feel depressed and angry. I would even bet resentment is eating you up inside.
When you’re in this place, do you want to eat healthy nutrient-dense food? Very unlikely. As in a big HELL NO!
Even if you ARE making an effort to eat healthily, it likely feels like ONE….MORE….THING you’re working at and just….can’t…. get RIGHT!
I’m right, right?
Stop making excuses for yourself. Stop waiting for life to slow down so you can make a change, eat well, be happy.
I’m here to tell you-You’re just bullshitting yourself! Life isn’t’ perfect and that perfect time to focus on taking care of yourself is not going to magically appear.
It’s all about your lifestyle and mindset! It starts there. Something has got to give. Right?
YOU can’t keep living like this!
Stop stealing from yourself by staying up late just to get in some “me” time only to find yourself snacking on junk food and then feeling like shit and absolutely exhausted the next day.
Start small, go to bed by 10 pm, get up early with the sun, and meditate or exercise in the morning. Eat a nutrient-dense well-balanced breakfast.
At least you will be starting your day FEELING GOOD, why? You’ve already done something amazing for YOU!
I promise you, if you start that way, you’ll be more likely to finish with a smile.
Feeling good is where it’s at and My Real Food Fall Detox is the perfect place to start this Monday, November 2, 2015! Join our group of over 40 supportive and inspiring women and start feeling good now!

You are right about starting the day with meditation or exercise! It completely sets the tone of the day in the best way. I feel like I own the world after a good morning run and then I will eat a good breakfast and let the day begin! Thanks for posting this little pep talk!
I was never a morning person, but when I realized I had to workout in the morning…or it was never going to fit into my day, WOW! The shift was huge! Doing something for yourself first thing in the morning makes you feel like you can take on anything! You're welcome Diane Tegethoff Meadows!
Agreed. If I do not exercise in the morning, it actually stays on my mind all day as a thing I need to do. Sort of a nagging thing.
Diane Tegethoff Meadows and it's easy to find a million excuses as the day progresses!
Yeppers.
