Did you say that ‘DIET”S DON”T FIX ANYTHING?” I looked on your website and can’t find out ‘About You’ – what your education is ect.
What I was saying is that you have to keep on doing what you’re doing because when you lose the weight, the diet hasn’t “fixed” you so that now you’re the “skinny person” who can eat whatever you want. If you want to keep the results, you can’t go back to eating what you did before”. Does that make sense?
Well, in that sense of course you need to NOT go back to bad habits but – I HAVE been healed through nutrition on so many levels – Gotten rid of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, sleep apnea, thyroid nodules and so much more -so, if you’re only concerned with weight loss and not health – then obviously you need to keep up some sort of reduction of calories but it’s so so much more than that.
Tamara I think you are misunderstanding what Ciara is saying. She’s not saying “diet” doesn’t matter, she’s meaning going on a “diet” to lose weight. As holistic nutritionists we work to balance and heal the body first.
Absolutely – I can see at different ages people go for different things – if you’re only concerned with aesthetics, of course on that level she may be correct –

You were great! I am a family nurse practitioner and much of my job is ‘coaching’ my patients to success, whatever that is for them. You were totally singing my song; i.e., saying to your listeners, what I say to my patients. someone wanted to know where you got your info, I don’t where I get my info, I read everything. And based on what I read, I came up with my belief system, which sounds like you have as well. Keep it up!
