If a chocolate bar was labelled with not only calories, but how much exercise it would take to burn it off. Would it prevent you from eating it?
I was just talking about this in CTV news. Would love you guys to weigh in.
What do you think?

Right, calories in are used in the metabolic process as well as through physical activity. Having the mindset of how long it will take to burn certain food when you’re eating it in my opinion is extremely unhealthy. You’re right about going to the gym to feel good. I also enjoy flexibility workouts/routines. These strengthen the body to avoid injuries, bc an injury occurs, esp in your 40s, it is a downward spiral of not being able to exercise, feeling terrible, possibly comfort eating. I personally eat probably 2500+ calories (I don’t count) a day, The concentration being heavy on good fats. I eat as much as I like until I am full. My weight hasn’t fluctuated more than two or 3 pounds my whole life.
Totally agree Andrea Bain!
I think it would make me think twice, but probably wouldn’t stop me eating it if I wanted it. It would probably make me feel more guilty than I already would have.
Haha! Slippery slope this topic Generally, nowadays, mostly it will make me think “I’m not going to make a habit of this.” However I’m still not in a place where I don’t have days where I let it go on for days and then feel like total crap, and the cycle can go on depending on my emotional state or feelings at the time. Those are much less frequent now though
Thanks! It can feel super complex at times, overwhelming, when really it isn’t at all. I make it that way myself, then as you mentioned I do the whole “what the hell is wrong with me?” thing.
