Hi Sweet Pea! I agree completely! Complete crap study.
Totally agreed!
How do you feel about juice cleanses to
Oops. To jump start weight loss?
What foods do you recommend for runners that train for long distance races?
What type of long distances Salena Vaughn Richardson? Are we talking 10k, 25k or a full marathon?
Half Marathons
Hi Salena Vaughn Richardson, I’ve had clients do half marathons. It is very specific from person to person what works best. Periodized nutrition specific to training is key. However from a general perspective, most important is balanced nutrient dense meals all the time. My client who did the half would just have my green vitality smoothie for a long run and her race. I find a chia pudding works really well, or at least including chia in a smoothie. I often find people have the idea that they “need” processed carbs or can eat “whatever” because they are running too much. This is a myth.
How do you feel about cleanses for a jump start in weight loss??
I don’t have any problem with a juice cleanse so long as it’s really low in sugar, as a stepping point. But what I don’t like to see people do is use them in a manner that they eat crap most of the time, then do a cleanse, then go back to eating poorly. It can really set up a negative mindset and backfire. But if someone is otherwise eating whole foods and focusing on their nutrition and wants to step things up, give their body a break from digesting food for a couple of days etc. then a cleanse can be suitable. It’s just not a “quick fix” for anything.
Ciara Foy great! Thanks! I feel the exact same way!
I don’t think the comments are working…
Hi guys, yeah, I didn’t see those comments. That’s too bad, it sometimes freezes.
